Scan Incorrect License Plate Format while picking a Sales Order

When a customer requires SSCC, and a warehouse employee picks/scans an incorrect License Plate format, the items are moved to a new correct License Plate format similar to the customer SSCC. Else, they are moved to the License Plate format similar to the Company SSCC. In the Identifier field, on the Pick page, enter or scan the License Plate number of the physical Pallet.

An error message is displayed as a License Plate which is not equal to the Customer SSCC number cannot be picked when it is required. In this case, you are always obliged to create a new License Plate. Transfer to a new License Plate must happen regardless of picking a full or partial license plate.

  1. On the Identifier field, enter the New License Plate number.

The New License Plate number must have the same format as the New License Plate number pattern from the Mobile Setup. Otherwise, the new License Plate number will not be recognized in the Mobile Warehouse Registration application. In this case, the Customer requires an SSCC number. Therefore, the new License Plate number should match the Customer SSCC number. This will overrule the check from the Mobile Setup, and the entered SSCC number will be recognized and accepted as the new License Plate number.

While scanning a new License Plate number, it is checked whether it is used in another mobile scan entry with the status as pending linked to another warehouse pick document. If so, an error message with the document number where this License Plate number is already used is displayed.

  1. Scan the Take License Plate number from where the items are taken.
  2. On the Identifier field, enter or scan the Item number.
  3. Fill in the value in the Qty. Handled field.
  4. Scan the Shipping Container.
  5. Enter the applied Shipping Container Code, as the picked item/lot is transferred to a new License Plate number.
    1. If the Mandatory SSCC Shipping Types field is enabled, the entered Shipping Container of the new License Plate must be equal to the default SSCC Shipping container.
    2. If the Shipping container is equal to the default shipping container in the Default Packaging Setup, the system will proceed to check the following steps:
      1. Approval of the shipping unit code from the Default Packaging Setup.
      2. Checking of a crater used on the physical pallet.
  6. Register the pick.
  7. Reopen the Pick page on the mobile device.
  8. Repeat steps 3 through 9.

When registering the warehouse pick, the quantities are automatically transferred to the new License Plate number, and License Plate label for the new License plate is printed. This new License Plate number is then filled in the License Plate No. field on the corresponding warehouse pick lines.

During the transfer of the License Plate number, the new License Plate format should be equal to the expected License Plate format required by the Customer or Company SSCC settings.

No License Plate label should be printed if the Warehouse Pick does not contain a new License Plate. It should be printed only when the Register function is executed from the mobile device and not in Business Central.
