You can perform the Receive activity on the Aptean Mobile Warehouse Registration app by manually entering or scanning the Warehouse Receipt Number. You can process Warehouse Receipt on Purchase Order or Sales Return Order using the following steps:

  1. Select the Receive icon on the Aptean Mobile Warehouse Registration home screen.
  2. Enter the PO/Trans/WMS No.
  3. Enter or scan Item No.
  4. If the item is License Plate tracked, the app notifies you to enter or scan the License Plate for the Item. The Qty. to Recv., and Qty. Recv. are filled in automatically with the quantity to receive and quantity received, respectively if the Show Qty. to Receive and Show Qty. Received options are set to Yes, in the Mobile Profile Setup page when the Page field is set with RECEIPT.
  5. Scan the barcode on the item that contains the License Plate number.

Alternatively, you can enter the License Plate number manually by typing it in the Item Identifier.

The License Plate number can also be assigned automatically using the function New License Plate.

Note

When the Aptean SSCC extension is installed and the Use SSCC Number Format toggle on the Item Tracking Code page in Business central is turned on, the license plate number is generated based on the settings of the Company SSCC Setup page.

This new License Plate number is generated based on the number series set up in the License Plate Nos. field on the License Plate Setup page.

The app notifies you to scan the Shipping Container for the scanned License Plate. It is checked whether the Default Packaging from the Aptean Food & Beverage Packaging extension corresponds to the warehouse receipt line (based on Item No., Vendor Number and Order Address). If this is the case, the Shipping Container Code will be automatically registered.

  1. In case multiple or no default packaging exists for the Item which is applicable to the warehouse receipt line, you must manually enter or scan the Shipping Container Code.
You can only enter a code that has been set up in the Aptean Food & Beverage Packaging extension as a shipping container.
  2. In case theShipping Container Code was not entered or scanned due to the Default Packaging, you can overwrite the automatically assigned Shipping Container Code by scanning or manually entering a Shipping Container Code in this step.
Enter or scan the Lot No.
  3. Enter the Qty. Handled field with the quantity to receive in the base unit of measure. The entered quantity is then received. A Mobile Scan Entry is created automatically with the scanned values in Business Central.
  4. Select the AssistEdit button and select Post to post the warehouse receipt. The Location Code and Bin Code are updated on the Mobile Scan Entry page in Business Central.
  5. On the Warehouse Receipt page, on the action bar, Select Process > Transfer Scan Data.

The status of Mobile Scan Entry is changed to Transferred. The License Plate No., Lot No., and Quantity data are moved to the Item Tracking Lines for the respective Warehouse Receipt Line.

Note
  • You cannot enter a License Plate that is already used in a pending Mobile Scan Entry and linked to another document number other than the current Warehouse Receipt.
  • You cannot enter a License Plate that already contains an inventory in Business Central.

Transfer from a non-License Plate tracked location to a License Plate tracked location

When transferring a license plate-tracked item from a non-license plate tracked location to a license plate tracked location, a newLicense Plate number must be created when receiving the items.

To handle the warehouse receipt for the transfer order, see Processing Warehouse Receipt on License Plate.

When executing Transfer Scan Entries, the newly created license plate numbers will be transferred to the Change License Plate Nos. page.

On the Item Tracking Lines page, on the action bar, click Action > Functions > Change License Plate Nos. to review the license plate numbers and if necessary, to adjust.

For more information, see To transfer items from a ‘Non-License Plate required’ location to a ‘License Plate-required’ location in the License Plating extension.

Note

It is not possible to place multiple lot numbers on one license plate when transferring a license plate-tracked item from a non-license plate tracked location to a license plate tracked location. You must enter a new license plate for each lot number that will be received.
