From the Contact Card page

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Contacts and then choose the related link.
    The Contacts list page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select New to create a new contact whose contact details you want to send to the Aptean CRM application.
    Or, open an existing contact for which you want to send the contact details to the Aptean CRM application.
    The Contact Card page opens.
  3. In the Name field, enter or edit the contact person name.
  4. In the Type field, select Person to send contact details of type to the Aptean CRM application. Select Person when you've had direct contact with someone and have their contact details.
  5. To enter additional details in the Name field, select the AssistEdit button.
    The NAME DETAILS page opens.
  6. The following Contact related field values can be sent to the corresponding fields in the Aptean CRM application. Fill in or edit these fields as required:
    • Salutation Code
    • First Name
    • Middle Name
    • Surname
  7. Click Close.
  8. On the Contact Card page, on the General FastTab, fill in the following fields as required to send the details to the corresponding fields in the Aptean CRM application:
    • Suffix
    • Birth Date
    • Gender
    • CRM Status
  9. On the Communication FastTab, fill in the required fields under Address and Contact.
  10. You can view the field names of contacts and companies whose values can be synced with the Aptean CRM application in the Aptean CRM Int. Field Mapping List.
  11. On the action bar, select Navigate > Aptean CRM.
    The drop-down list shows the following options whose contact details can be updated to the Aptean CRM application.
    • Contact Alt. Address
    • Contact E-Mail
    • Contact URL
    • Contact Phone No.
    • Contact Note
    • Contact Aka
    • Contact Company
  12. On the action bar, select Contact > Send Contact Details to send the specified contact details to the Aptean CRM application.
    Alternatively, on the action bar, you can select Actions > Aptean CRM > Send Contact Details.
    If the contact details are sent successfully, the Contact has been sent to Aptean CRM message is displayed in the dialog box.
  13. Click OK.
  14. On the Aptean CRM FastTab, you can see the following details if the values are updated in CRM successfully:
    • Message field: contact upserted
    • Contact Synced toggle is turned on.
  15. Additionally, you can verify the sync result when the contact upserted message displays in the Message field on the CONTACTS List page.
    If the contact details are not sent successfully, the field displays the message, error in upserting the contact.
  16. The Last CRM update field shows the date and time at which the records were sent to the Aptean CRM application.

Deleting a contact in Business Central deletes that record in the Aptean CRM application if the contact was loaded from the Aptean CRM application.
