Link GLN codes to ultimate consignee for customers

If you have the Aptean EDI extension installed, you can enter the GLN (Global Location Number) code associated with the EDI messages. For more information, see Set up ultimate consignees.
You must link the GLN code to a customer and ship-to address. Upon processing EDI messages with the GLN code, the system automatically inherits the consignee address details in the sales order created.
The following procedure outlines how to link the GLN code to a customer and ship-to address.
- Open the EDI Translations page.

Enter the required information in the following fields:
Field Description EDI Port Leave the field blank. Source Name Select Customer Ultimate Consignee. Source ID Select the customer ID you want to link the GLN code to. Source SubID Select the ship-to address associated with the selected customer, that you want to link the GLN code to. You can leave this field blank if you do not want to link the consignee code to a specific ship-to code. EDI Value Specifies the GLN code associated with the consignee code selected in the Dynamics Value field. Dynamics Value Select the ultimate consignee code you want to link to the customer and ship-to address. The consignee and GLN code are linked to the customer and ship-to address.
