To assign taxes to an item

Setting up tax classifications on items can be done with the use of the “auto create” function on the Default Tax Classifications, or by manual selection:

Auto create tax set up on items

  1. Select the Search icon alt text, enter Items, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the item card for an item that will be eligible for taxes.
  3. In the Default Tax Classification field, select a code for the relevant tax for the item.

Manually create tax set up on items

  1. Select the Search icon alt text, enter Items, and then choose the related link.
  2. Open the relevant item card, and then choose the Tax action.
  3. Fill in the fields on the lines as necessary. Hover over a field to read a short description.
  4. Choose the Tax Classifications action.
  5. Fill in the fields on the lines as necessary. Hover over a field to read a short description.
  6. Close the tax classifications page.
  7. Choose the Tax Values action.
  8. Fill in the fields on the lines as necessary. Hover over a field to read a short description. Alternatively, fill in the value fields on the item card (volume, strength, weight and / or tax factor).

With both methods, the Item Tax Class. Relations FactBox will show the result.
