Set up a factory

You can set up a factory, maintain factory production and process rate lines, and view labor types and production processes.

The following procedure outlines how to set up a factory.

1. Select the Search icon , enter Simple Factory List, and then choose the related link.
   The Simple Factory List page opens.
2. Select New.
   A new factory line is created.

3. Enter the required information in the following fields:

   Field	Description
   Location Code	Select the location code associated with the factory code.
   Factory Code	Enter the factory code where the production process takes place.
   Factory Name	Enter the name of the factory.
   Use Factory Line Bins	Select the checkbox to set different production bin codes per production line. If you clear the checkbox, the production bin codes associated with the location will be set to all the production lines by default. You cannot edit this selection after creating a factory setup for this line.

4. On the action bar, select Simple Factory Setup to view the factory setup details and maintain the production and process rate lines for the factory line. For more information, see Maintain the simple factory setup.

5. Select Factory Labor to view or create labor types. For more information, see Set up labor types.
6. Select Production Processes to view or create production processes. For more information, see Set up production processes and process rates.
