Set a default simple factory plan for an item

You can set up a default simple factory plan for an item. Ensure that a factory setup exists. For more information, see Set up a factory.

The following procedure outlines how to set up a default simple factory plan for an item.

1. Open the desired Item page.
2. On the action bar, select Related > Simple Factory > Default Item Planning.
   The Simple Factory Item Planning Default page opens.

3. Enter the required information in the following fields:

   Field	Description
   Location	Select an inventory location from where the items being ordered will be registered.
   Factory Code	Select a code representing the factory associated with the location.
   Prod. Line Code	Select a code representing the production line associated with the factory.
   Type	Specifies the type of resource applied to the production line.
   Prod. Process Code	Select a production process code associated with the factory.
   Prod. Priority Code	Select a code representing the production priority group.
   Default	Select the checkbox if you want the selected line to be used as this item's default simple factory setup. Only one line can be set as the default factory plan for an item.
