Register co-products as output
You can register the co-products as output when these items are produced alongside the main output item.
Depending on the routing setup on the Released Production Order page, co-products can appear as part of the main output or as separate production orders.
Follow the steps below to register the output for co-products.
- Open the Shop Floor Production page.
- On the Work Centers page, select the appropriate work center.
- On the Production Orders list page, the system generates two entries for the main item and the associated co-products.
Then, select the relevant production order. - Select the Output tile.
If the Routing No. field is not defined on the associated Released Production Order page, the system displays the main and co-product item(s) on the Output page. - Register the output.
For more information on registering the output, see Register output.
The system updates the output percentage on the Output tile to indicate the progress of the main item and co-product. - Save the output registration.
The system updates the entries on the Capacity Ledger Entries page for the recorded quantities.
Labels cannot be printed for non-last routing lines.
If a routing line exists for the co-product, the system treats it as a separate item rather than a co-product. On the Shop Floor Production page, each co-product output is represented as an individual production order entry.
If the associated work center is defined as the last routing line on the Prod. Order Routing page, you can enter the following details on the Register Output page.
- Quantity (If applicable)
- Lot number (If applicable)
- Expiration Date (If applicable)
- License Plate No. (For lot tracked locations, if applicable)
The system updates the Item Ledger Entries page for the registered output in addition to the Capacity Ledger Entries page.
