Inventory management
Inventory Management gives information about which and how many items per location are in stock. This information can be used to decide which items need to be reordered, produced or transferred, preventing out of stock issues. The Items by Location - Enhanced and Inventory Details pages can be used for a variety of purposes such as maintaining a balance between too much and too little inventory and keeping track of total inventory across locations.
Items by Location - Enhanced
The Items by Location - Enhanced shows which and how many items per location are in stock. It also shows the total stock of the entire company across all locations, regardless of any filtering. The page contains filters for Lot No. and Location Code.
- Select the Search icon
, enter Items by Location - Enhanced, and then choose Items by Location - Enhanced list.
It is possible to filter the Items by Location - Enhanced by a Location Code. - In the Location Code field, filter the field based on the required location code.
The field Column Set shows the location code that is being filtered.
The column shows the total inventory, regardless of the filter.
The page only shows the location that is filtered on, the other locations are no longer shown in the page.
It is possible to filter the Items by Location - Enhanced by a Lot No. - Select and click the required Lot No.
The page only shows the items with the Lot No. that is filtered on, the other items are no longer shown in the page.
Inventory Details
The Inventory Details page gives insight in inventory for a specific item on location and bin level. The page can be opened from the Items by Location - Enhanced, Item list or Item card.
Detailed Inventory Overview
- On the Items list, select and click No. for the required item to open the Item Card.
- On the action bar, click Related > Availability > Inventory Details.
The filtering set to the Items by Location - Enhanced on Location Code and/or Lot No. is applied when opening the Inventory Details page.
- The Inventory Details shows on which Location Code the item is placed.
- It shows on which Bin Code the item is placed.
- It shows the quantity of the item in the bin that corresponds to the line.
- It shows which Lot No. exists for this item.
When you also use the Aptean License Plating extension on the Inventory Details page, you can also view the License Plate No. on which the item is stored.
Item list
The Inventory Details page can also be opened from the item list or card.
- Open the Items list.
- Select the preferred No. to open the Item Card.
- On the Item Card page, on the action bar, select Related > Availability > Inventory Details.
The Inventory Details are shown per location/bin.
On the Inventory Details page, on the Inventory Details – Quantity FactBox, you can view
information associated with the item based on the defined filters.
This FactBox displays the following fields:

| Item No. | Specifies the number of the involved entry or record according to the specified number series. |
| Variant Code | Specifies the variant to which the item belongs. |
| Lot No. | Specifies a lot number if the posted item carries such a number. |
| Location Code | Specifies the code for the location that the inventory is linked to. |
| License Plate No. | Specifies the License Plate number assigned for the selected line. |
| Quantity (Base) | Specifies the quantity of inventory expressed in the base unit of measure for the item. |
| Quantity (KG) | Specifies the quantity of the item in the Catch Weight unit of measure. The field is inherited from Catch weight Setup. |
- The Quantity (Base) field inherits the data from associated Item Ledger Entries for the defined filters.
- The Quantity (KG) field inherits the data from associated Item Weight Ledger Entries.
