Quality control plan line targets

You must define the targets for each question provided on the Lines FastTab of the Quality Control Plan page. Follow the below steps to define targets:
- On the Quality Control Plan page, on the Lines FastTab, choose the Target field.
The Quality Control Plan Line Target page opens. - On the General FastTab, in the Target field, enter the value.
- On the Warning FastTab, in the Lower Warning and Upper Warning fields, enter the values.
- On the Limit FastTab, in the Lower Limit and Upper Limit fields, enter the values.
The following examples illustrate how to define targets using both decimal measurements and option-type questions defined on the Quality Control Options page.
Example 1: Decimal measurements
Scenario: Temperature check
Lower Limit: 32
Lower Warning: 36
Target: 42
Upper Warning: 50
Upper Limit: 54
Validation criteria:
- Measurements between 32-36 and 50-54 will pass with a warning.
- Measurements between 36.01 and 49.99 will pass.
- Measurements below 32 or above 54 will fail.
Example 2: Option type questions
Scenario: Tomato color
The options that are defined on the Quality Control Options page are:
- 1 (Green)
- 2 (Breakers)
- 3 (Turning)
- 4 (Pink)
- 5 (Light Red)
- 6 (Red)
Lower Limit: 2 (Breakers)
Lower Warning: 3 (Turning)
Target: 4 (Pink)
Validation criteria:
- Measurement of 1 (Green) will fail.
- Measurements of 2 (Breakers) or 3 (Turning) will pass with a warning.
- Measurements of 4 (Pink), 5 (Light Red), or 6 (Red) will pass.
