Manage images in quality checks

You can add, view, delete, and download images for questions during quality checks. Images can be added to any question type and stored in Azure Blob Storage for optimized storage based on the configuration on the Quality Control Setup page. 

Follow the steps below to upload or capture images for quality control checks.

  1. Open the desired quality check from the Quality Control App page. 
  2. Select the Upload icon to upload an image from your device.
  3. Select the Camera icon for the required question to capture the image directly.
    When a quality control question type is set as Photo, you can view the following buttons for the specific Photo type question.
    • Upload Photo: Opens the dialog to upload the file from your device.
    • Take Photo: Launches the device camera to capture an image directly.
  4. Select the uploaded image(s).

    > When you turn on the Hide image preview in Quality Control App toggle on the Quality Control Setup page, image previews no longer appear directly while uploading image(s). Instead, the SHOW PHOTOS button is displayed for Photo-type questions, allowing you to open the image gallery.


    A dialog appears with the expanded view, displaying the image(s) and its details. 

    You can view the following fields in the expanded view.

    TitleDisplays the total number of images and the question description. 
    DeleteRemove the selected image. Deleted images are permanently removed from Azure Blob Storage and cannot be recovered. 
    DownloadDownload the image from the defined storage. Images are stored with a unique key that combines the document type, quality check name, line number, and image ID. 
    + Add NewAdd a new image from the device or system. 
    + Take NewCapture a new image. 


Based on the storage configuration on the Quality Control Setup page, images are stored and downloaded either from Azure Blob Storage or Business Central Storage.
