Set up lot number profile

You can configure lot number profiles to ensure that lots are generated automatically along with the slaughter date.

To set up a lot number profile, follow these steps:

1. Select the Search icon , enter Lot No. Profile, and then choose the related link.
   The Lot No. Profile page opens.
2. In the User Date field, select Slaughter Date.
   The lot number profile is set up.
3. On the Item Card page, in the Lot No. Profile field enter the lot number profile value.
   It is mandatory to turn on the Lot Specific Tracking and Create Lot No. Info. on posting toggles on the Item Tracking Code Card page.

Post item journals

You must post item journals after assigning the slaughter date to the lots, ensuring traceability from inventory transactions.

To post item journals, follow these steps:

1. Select the Search icon , enter Item Journals, and then choose the related link.
   The Item Journals page opens.
2. On the action bar, select Item Journals > Item Tracking.
   The Item Tracking Lines page opens.
3. Ensure that the Slaughter Date is assigned to the lot.
   Based on this configuration, when you assign a slaughter date in the Item Tracking Lines page, the system auto-generates the Lot No. field value using the slaughter date. For example, SL-032025
