Non Conformance Reasons

Non-conformance reasons and subreasons are used to categorize the non-conformance after investigation from the perspective of quality assurance. Unlimited non-conformance reasons and subreasons can be created.

Examples of reasons are:

  • Human Failure
  • Machine Failure

Examples of subreasons for Machine Failure are:

  • Machine failure
  • Not correct machine setup
  • Lack of maintenance

The non-conformance reason can be linked in a non-conformance with or without a non-conformance subreason.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Non-Conformance Reasons, and then choose the related link.
    The Non-Conformance Reasons page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select New to create a new entry.
  3. In the Code field, enter the value.

  4. In the Description field, enter an explanatory text.
    A non-conformance reason is now created.

    Add a Non-Conformance Subreason to a Non-Conformance Reason. But, it is not mandatory to add Subreasons to a Reason.

  5. On the Subreasons FastTab,in the Code field, enter the value.
  6. In the Description field, enter an explanatory text.
  7. Click the Back button.

A non-conformance reason with linked non-conformance subreasons is now set up.
