Features

With the features added in the release of the Aptean Standard Measurements extension, you can:

  • Determine the method to calculate the ratio between the item unit of measure and the baseline unit of measure within the same unit of measure group. For more information, see Unit of measure groups.

  • Use the baseline unit of measure to automatically calculate the ratio when the item unit of measure within the same unit of measure group is added to the Item Units of Measure page. For more information, see Automatic update of item UoM quantities.

Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Standard Measurements extension,

  • When the Use Item UOM Measures in Document Lines toggle on the Standard Measurements Setup page is turned on, the system calculates weight and volume fields on sales, purchase, and transfer order lines as follows:

    • The system uses the weight field values from the Item Card page if the weight field values are set to 0 on the Item Units of Measure page.

    • The system uses the volume field value from the Item Card page if the Cubage field value is set to 0 on the Item Units of Measure page.

      This enhancement addresses the issue reported in bug ID #273166.

  • The system does not allow the deletion of the unit of measure group code when:

    • A group code is selected in the Weight Group Code and Length Group Code fields on the Standard Measurements Setup page.

    • A group code is assigned to one or more existing units of measure.
      This enhancement addresses the issue reported in bug ID #260365.

  • The system does not allow the deletion of the unit of measure code when:

    • A unit of measure code is selected in the Standard Weight Unit of Measure, Standard Length Unit of Measure, Standard Cubage Unit of Measure fields on the Standard Measurements Setup page.

    • A unit of measure code is assigned as the baseline unit of measure for the unit of measure group code.
      This enhancement addresses the issue reported in bug ID #278238.

  • The system automatically turns on and make the Automatic Gross Weight toggle non-editable when the Use Item UOM Measures in Document Lines toggle on the Standard Measurements Setup page is turned on. This enhancement addresses the issue reported in bug ID #275158.

  • The system dynamically adjusts the information displayed on the Item UOM Information FactBox based on the configuration item unit of measure and the values in the Qty. Expressed in the UOM and Qty. Expressed in Base UOM fields. For more information, see Item UOM Information FactBox.

  • The tooltips for the Quantity Expressed in Base UOM and Quantity Expressed in the UOM fields have been curated to enhance the readability.

Resolved issues

The following issues have been resolved in this release.

The dependency on the Aptean Standard Measurements extension has been removed from the following extensions. Businesses can use the following extensions independently without requiring the installation of the Aptean Standard Measurements extension.
