Set up settlement unit of measure templates

Grower Return  •  Article  •  10/30/2024  •

You can set up the quantity and price unit of measure for specific items, item categories, lot attributes, and vendors on a settlement unit of measure template.

You can use a settlement unit of measure template and run a settlement, so the system calculates the quantity and price for the settlement, account sale, and pooling lines in the settlement quantity unit of measure and settlement price unit of measure defined in the selected settlement unit of measure template. This setup overrides the default Settlement Unit of Measure field value defined on the General FastTab of the Grower Return Setup page.

  • The calculation of quantity and price using the settlement quantity unit of measure and settlement price unit of measure, respectively, follows a strict hierarchy of items > item categories > lot attributes > vendors.
  • In case of conflicts and errors when running the settlement, the system uses the default Settlement Unit of Measure field value defined on the General FastTab of the Grower Return Setup page.
  • When the Accounting Method field is set to Pooling, and the system runs into conflicts or errors when running the settlement, the system uses the default Settlement Unit of Measure field value defined on the General FastTab of the Grower Return Setup page for all the settlement lines that share the same pooling line reference.
  • When the Accounting Method field is set to Pooling, you can set up how the system must display solvable errors during settlement calculation in the Error Handling field on the Grower Return Setup page. For more information, see Set up grower returns.
