Group pooling lines

Grower Return  •  Article  •  10/30/2024  •

You can group pooling lines together to average or even out the revenue generated from the selected lines. The system recalculates the revenue, costs, and commission values of these lines into one pooling line.

The following procedure outlines how to group pooling lines.

  1. On the Pooling page, select the pooling lines you want to group together.
The values used in the grouped pooling line are based on the values of the pooling line you last selected.
  2. On the action bar, select Group Lines.
    A dialog opens.
  3. Enter relevant information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
DescriptionEnter the description of the grouped pooling line. The system displays the description of the pooling line you last selected by default, but you can manually change it.
Quantity (SPU)Specifies the sum of the Quantity (SPU) field values of the selected pooling lines.
Quantity (SQU)Specifies the sum of the Quantity (SQU) field values of the selected pooling lines.
Settlement Price Unit of MeasureSpecifies the price unit of measure to be applied to the grouped pooling line.
Settlement Quantity Unit of MeasureSpecifies the quantity unit of measure to be applied to the grouped pooling line.
  4. Select Yes to proceed.
The system checks and recalculates the values for the selected pooling lines and displays one pooling line on the Pooling page.

  • The system checks if the settlement quantity unit of measure and settlement price unit of measure values match for the pooling line. If the values do not match and the Error Handling field on the Grower Return Setup page is set to Error, the system displays the error.
  • If the values do not match and the Error Handling field on the Grower Return Setup page is set to Warning, the system uses the default Settlement Unit of Measure field value defined on the General FastTab of the Grower Return Setup page.
  • Any new changes to the revenue, cost, and commission information posted after the settlement calculation will not be reflected in the updated grouped pooling line.
  • Any manual changes made to the selected pooling lines before grouping are overridden when the system recalculates and groups them into one pooling line.
  • You can make manual changes to the grouped pooling line, the same as the other lines, and you can group them with other lines, if required.
