Event management setup
In the Event Management Setup, you can define number series and templates for Loans, Objects, and Rental Agreements.
- Select the Search icon
, enter Event Management Setup, and then choose the related link. - On the Event Management Setup page, fill in the fields as necessary. Hover over a field to the tooltip .
You can add Event dimensions to the Standard Sales Code for event orders on the Blanket Sales Order and Blanket Purchase Order pages.
You can now create invoices per event ensuring that shipments and return receipts related to event orders are exclusively included in the event invoice, separate from regular invoices. This is achieved with Batch Create (periodic) Invoices function where you can specify if the invoice is generated for normal orders/return orders or for event orders. While creating invoices/credit memos for events, the system checks for the creation of event at the end of the process along with the inclusion of all related orders.
General Setup

Select the Search icon
, enter Event Management Setup, and then choose the related link.
The Event Management Setup page opens. -
On the General FastTab, turn on the Event Invoice toggle.

In the Default Event Invoice Period field, select an option.
The options are blank, Day, Week, Month, and Custom.
When you change the language of Business Central, the formulas will also be displayed in the selected language. For example, in the English, the formula for one day is displayed as 1D and upon changing to French, the formula for one day (Jour) will be displayed as 1J. -
In the Default Event Period Length field, enter the value.
The Default Event Invoice Period field is visible only when the Event Invoice toggle is turned on. Also, the Default Event Period Length field is visible only when Default Event Invoice Period is set to Custom. - Turn on the Autorelease Sales order toggle and the Sales Order or the Sales Return Order will be automatically released, provided the Blanket Sales Order Type is set as Event on the Blanket Sales Order page.

On the action bar, select Actions > Update Customers.
This allows you to edit the Event Invoice Period and Event Period Length values on the Customer Card page.
This action is available only when the Default Event Invoice Period has a value.
You can now filter the customers upon executing the Update Customers action. To filter the customers:
- On the Event Management Setup page, on the action bar select Actions > Update Customers.
The Update Customer Event Invoice Period page opens. - On the Filter: Customer FastTab, select the option to add the filter.
The system displays all the available fields for which you can filter the entries. - Select filters from the Available Fields listing.
- Once you add a filter, select the value from the dropdown.
- Click OK.
The filtered customers are updated.
- On the Blanket Sales Order page, when the value is selected as Event on the Drink-IT Event Management FastTab, then on the Logistics FastTab, the Route field inherits the value from the Route (Sales) field on the Logistics FastTab of the Event Management Setup page.
- On the Blanket Sales Order page, when the value is not selected as Event on the Drink-IT Event Management FastTab, then on the Logistics FastTab, the Route field inherits the value from the Default Route field on Logistic FastTab of the Customer Card page.
