Manage item audit trail

You can use the Item Audit Trail page to trace and review all documents and records where a specific item and lot are referenced. This helps auditors, compliance officers, and system administrators track production, sales, purchases, warehouse, and quality-related activities for a given item and lot.

To generate an audit trail, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Item Audit Trail, and then choose the related link.
    The Item Audit Trail page opens.
  2. On the Filters section, enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    Item No.Select the item number for which you want to generate the audit trail.
    Lot No.Enter the lot number. This field value is mandatory.
  3. On the action bar, execute the following actions:

    ActionDescription
    TraceGenerates the list of related documents where the selected item and lot are referenced.
    ItemOpens the Item Card page for the selected item number.
    Lot No. InformationOpens the Lot No. Information page with detailed records of the selected lot.
  4. In the Related Entries field, view the list of all associated documents.

  5. In the No. of Entries field, view the number of entries.

The audit trail includes the following record types:

  • Production Orders (all types, showing whether the item/lot is an output line or component line)
  • Sales Documents (posted and open)
  • Purchase Documents (posted and open)
  • Warehouse Documents (posted and open)
  • Inspection Tags
  • Non-Conformances (closed and open)
  • Compliance Documents
  • Quality Checks (posted and open)
  • Item Ledger Entries
  • Warehouse Ledger Entries
