Set up dynamic comments

You can define multiple comment codes for a particular Table ID field value on the Dynamic Comment Setup Card page.

To set up a dynamic comment, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Dynamic Comment Setup, and then choose the related link.
    The Dynamic Comment Setup page opens.

  2. On the action bar, select New to create a new dynamic comment setup.
    The Dynamic Comment Setup Card page opens.

  3. On the General FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    Table IDSelect the name of the table where the comment should be populated. For example, if Sales Header is selected, the comments are populated across all related Sales Order pages.
    Table NameSpecifies the name of the table selected in the Table ID field.

  4. On the Dynamic Comment Setup Lines FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    Comment CodeSelect the dynamic comment code.
    DescriptionEnter the description of the comment code.

    The dynamic comments are grouped based on the Tabular ID field value on the Dynamic Comment Setup Card page.
