Integration with Aptean Advanced Attributes
You can use the Aptean Contract Management extension in conjunction with the Aptean Advanced Attributes extension to display eight global lot attribute columns in purchase and sales contracts. This setup allows entering attribute values for used items based on permissions defined in the lot attribute template. In the contract’s line, you cannot modify fixed attribute values but can select allowed values. The system rejects any non-allowed value that you enter.
You can create an order that’s associated with the contract or add a contract-associated item to an existing order. The system automatically transfers the attributes’ values from the contract to the order’s line. The system shows an error if you change a contract-associated value of an attribute on the order’s line. To change an attribute’s value, delete the contract’s number from the Contract No. field, and then select the required allowed value. The system shows an error when associating a contract using the Contract No. field to an order line if the order line's attribute value differs from the contract line's attribute value.
A sales contract has an additional functionality where you can add a non-global lot attribute to the contract’s line. The non-global lot attribute values are inherited from the Item Lot Attribute Template page to the Lot Attribute Requirements page.
The following changes are possible on the Lot Attribute Requirements page.
- Modification of the lot attribute values unless the lot attributes have fixed values
- Addition of the lot attributes
- Delete of the lot attributes
