Manage buffer order status

You can manage the buffer order status with the Status field value on the General FastTab of the Buffer Order page.

When you create a buffer order, the Status field is set to Draft by default. You can change the buffer order status as required. The available options are:

• Draft: You can update the necessary details for the buffer order in this status.
• Active: You can change the status to Active after updating the mandatory details. You can create sales or transfer orders only with this status.
• Closed: After assigning the item quantities, you can close the buffer order. Any outstanding item quantities will no longer be buffered and will be released into the inventory, and the lots are unassigned.

You can change the status of a buffer order to Draft to reopen it. In this case, the item quantities will contain blank values.
