Integration with Aptean Quick Production

You can integrate the Aptean Beverage Advanced Warehouse Management extension with the Aptean Quick Production extension to record production details and create production orders using the advanced warehouse management license plates on the Quick Production Entry page.

Quick production entry with AWM license plates

Make sure to configure the Aptean Beverage Advanced Warehouse Management for Drink-IT Edition application name on the Feature Control page. For more information, see Set up feature control.

Follow the steps below to manage license plate details and process records on the Quick Production Entry page.

  1. Open the Quick Production Entry page.
  2. Fill in the required details.
  3. On the From FastTab, in the Lot No. field, select the required lot number assigned to the item being handled for the production order.
  4. In the License Plate No. field, enter the required license plate number according to the application name enabled on the Feature Control page. Alternatively, you can use the AssistEdit button to open the License Plate Contents lookup page and select the desired record. These records are filtered based on the lot number specified in the Lot No. field.

    If the Lot No. field is empty or blank, the records on the License Plate Contents lookup page are filtered using the bin code defined in the From Bin field on the General FastTab.


The system also displays the License Plate Contents lookup page when you access the License Plate No. field on the Quick Production Additional Consumption page.

  1. On the To FastTab, in the Lot No. field, select the AssistEdit button. A confirmation message will appear, prompting you to assign the lot number.
  2. Select Yes to confirm.
  3. In the License Plate No. field, select the AssistEdit button. A confirmation message will prompt you to assign the license plate number.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.

    The system automatically assigns the advanced warehouse management license plate number, which is generated based on the value specified in the License Plate Nos. field on the Adv. Warehouse Setup or Item Card page.
  5. On the action bar, select Post.

    The system creates a released production order for the quick production entry and posts the document.

After posting the quick production entry, you can view the recorded consumption and output on the Detailed Warehouse Entries page.

When posting the quick production entry with the advanced warehouse management license plate number, the system performs the following validations:

  • The Qty. to Consume field must have a value less than or equal to the base quantity and cannot exceed the available quantity.
  • The system checks the LPN Quantity Inbound Restriction field value on the Adv. Warehouse Setup or Item Card page. This determines whether single lot or multiple lots can be used for license plates during posting.
  • To use the same license plate number across multiple bins, turn on the Allow 1 LPN On Multiple Bins toggle on the Adv. Warehouse Setup page. Otherwise, the system will generate an error.
  • The same license plate number cannot be used for multiple output postings if the Block Double LPN On Prod. Output Posting checkbox is selected on the License Plate Tracking Codes page.
