Integration with Aptean Inspection Status

Advanced Warehouse Management for Drink-IT  •  Article  •  10/22/2025  •

When the Aptean Beverage Advanced Warehouse Management extension, Drink-IT Edition is used in conjunction with the Aptean Inspection Status extension, the system streamlines the lot suggestion process.

For sales orders, lots with an inspection status marked as blocked for either Sales Pick or Sales Availability are excluded from lot suggestions.

On the Company Settings (WMS) page, turn on the Show Lot No. toggle on the License Plating FastTab to display the lot number on the scanner.

On the Inspection Status page, ensure that the Blocked checkbox is selected for the Sales Pick or Sales Availability types. Additionally, on the Lot No. Information List page, update the Inspection Status Code field to BLOCKED for the relevant item and lot numbers.

  • The system prioritizes the blocked status of the document type on the Inspection Status page over the inspection status code on the Lot No. Information List page. Consequently, if a blocked lot is included when creating a warehouse pick, the system displays an error. This action is mirrored in the Aptean WMS scanner, where attempting to pick a blocked lot results in an error.
  • If only the Inspection Status Code field value is set to BLOCKED on the Lot No. Information Card page, and you attempt to select a License Plate No. or Lot No. field value that contains blocked lots on the Warehouse Pick page, the system displays an error message.

During picking, the system automatically suggests appropriate lot numbers, skipping blocked lots. When dealing with sales orders that include multiple advanced attributes, the system consolidates the lot numbers based on the specified attributes and suggests only the valid lots on the pick lines, ignoring any blocked lots.

For transfer orders, lots with an inspection status as blocked for either Transfer Pick or Transfer Availability are excluded from lot suggestions.

For production orders, lots with an inspection status marked as blocked for either Production Consumption Pick or Production Consumption Availability are omitted from picking and inventory movement processes.

For more information, see Inspection status list.

This ensures that only unblocked lots are suggested for picking by preventing errors.
