Before you can share data with the APMOEE portal, you must generate an access token using Job Queue in Business Central to establish a connection with APMOEE portal.

Prerequisites

Prior to generate an access token within Business Central, you must have an “APMOEE Admin” role assigned. Also you need a Valid Admin Email, Server Name, User Name and Password.

Set Up Job Queue to Generate Access Token

You need to setup a Job Queue with name APMOEEAccessTokenSchedulerFDW. This is the primary approach to generate access token and runs according to the specified re-occurrence time set in the background. The access token expires and re-generates after the re-occurrence time.

  1. Select the Search icon alt text, enter Job Queue Entries and then choose the related link.
The Job Queue Entries page opens.
  2. Click New to create a job queue with name APMOEEAccessTokenSchedulerFDW.
  3. On the Recurrence FastTab, turn on the toggles for every day of the week.
  4. In the No. of Minutes between Runs field, enter a value less than the frequency of OEE changing the token.
  5. Select the Job Queue and click Set Status to Ready.
  6. The generated access token will be stored on Location Card page in APMOEE FastTab.

The token generation frequency in OEE is currently set to 60 minutes. It is recommended to set the No. of Minutes between Runs field to 55 minutes to ensure that Business Central initiates the token generation more frequently than OEE.

Set Up Locations for APMOEE on Location Card

To set up locations on the Location Card:

  1. Select the Search icon alt text, enter Locations and then choose the related link.
    The Locations page opens.
  2. Click any of the Locations from the list.
    The Location Card page opens.
  3. In the APMOEE FastTab, check the Enable button.
  4. Enter Admin Email, Server Name, User Name and Password in the respective fields.

In case of any failures, an email will be sent to the Admin Email address.

  5. Enter the Production Order Inclusion Start Date and Production Order Inclusion End Date in the respective fields.
  6. Go to Related > APMOEE > Test API Connection.
A dialog confirms that the “APMOEE API is connected”.
  7. Click OK to close the dialog.

Access Token will be generated on Job Queue run and stored on the Location Card page in the APMOEE FastTab.
