Set lot stock to zero
The set lot stock to zero functionality allows you to quickly remove the remaining stock in a lot from inventory without manually creating journal entries. This ensures that inventory records reflect the actual physical stock for lots that should no longer carry a positive quantity.

Open the Set Lot Stock To Zero page.
Alternatively, you can open the page by executing the Set Lot Stock to 0 action on the Lot No. Information Card page (Related > Set Lot Stock to 0).

> The Set Lot Stock to 0 action is only accessible for lots with a positive remaining quantity.The system checks if the related journal template and batch are defined on the Alcohol Balance Setup page. If the field values are defined, the Set Lot Stock To Zero page opens.

On the Lot No. Information FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:
Field Description Lot No. Select the lot number selected for adjustment. Item No. Select the item number associated with the lot. -
On the General FastTab, enter the required information in the following fields:
Field Description Posting Date Select the posting date for the adjustment. This field is mandatory and defaults to the current work date. The posting date cannot be earlier than the last transaction date for the lot. Reason Code Select the reason code for setting the lot stock to zero. If the remaining quantity is within tolerance %, the field value is prefilled from the Alcohol Balance Setup page and cannot be edited. If the remaining quantity is outside tolerance %, the field is mandatory and must be selected before posting. Volume Unit Select the unit of measure used for the item. Strength Unit Select the alcohol strength percentage or unit. -
On the Filter: Lot No. Information FastTab, you can filter the lot data if multiple lots are being processed.

Select OK.
The system validates the entries. If the validation passes:
- The system automatically creates and posts the item journal.
- The lot stock is reduced to zero in the Inventory field.
- You can view the adjustments on the Item Ledger Entries page.
- The system records the related alcohol losses on the Alcohol Loss Entries page and links them to the production outputs where the lot was consumed.
