Set up print service

To integrate your Business Central solution with the Aptean Print API, you must provide the following details:

  • Service URL
  • Account Id
  • API Key

You can contact the Aptean team via the Support portal to get the above information.

When operating within a secure network, you may encounter restrictions accessing aptean cloud instance due to firewall configurations. In such cases, it is essential for customers to add the following whitelisted IP addresses to your firewall settings:

  • 20.49.97.29
  • 20.60.88.36

Reboot the Aptean Print Service.

To configure the Aptean Print Service Setup

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Aptean Print Service Setup, and then choose the related link.
    The Aptean Print Service Setup page opens.

  2. Enter the Service URL.

    The Service URL is https://print.api.apteancloud.com by default.

  3. Enter the Account ID, API Key, and Agent Key obtained from the Aptean team in the respective fields.

  4. In the Enabled field, turn on the toggle to activate the printing service.

    When you turn on the toggle in the Enabled field, the connection is automatically tested, and the results are displayed.

  5. In the Show Print Message field, turn on the toggle if you want to be notified when the report is sent for printing.

  6. On the action bar, select:

    • Test Connection – Validates the provided Service URL, Account Id, API Key, and Agent Key.
    • Set URL to Default – Resets the Service URL to the default URL.
    • Download Aptean Print Agent – Downloads the Aptean Print Agent software for the provided agent key.
    • Print Agents – Navigates you to the Aptean Print Agents page.
    • Printers – Navigates you to the Aptean Printers list page.
    • Report Setup - Navigates you to the Aptean Print Report Setup page.

After the Aptean print agent is installed, the printers connected with the Aptean print agent are added to the server.
