Weigh Scale Registration
The Weigh Scale Registration page populates upon executing the Register Weight function on either warehouse receipt or warehouse shipment documents. This page allows you to register the weigh scale activities associated with the defined items and locations.
- On the Weigh Scale Registration page, fill in the following fields:
On General FastTab,
Field | Description |

Item No. | Specifies the number assigned to the item that will be weighed on the weigh scale |
Item Description | Specifies a description of the item. |
Weigh Scale | Specifies the code assigned to the scale that will be used to weigh the item. |
License Plate No. | Specifies the license plate number assigned to the item being handled for the associated document line. |
Lot No. | Specifies the lot number of the item being handled for the associated document line. |
Expiration Date | Specifies the expiration date of the selected lot. |
Location Code | Specifies the code of the location in which the items are being received. |
On Shipping FastTab,
Field | Description |
---|---|
Shipping Container Code | Specifies the shipping container for which a license plate number is generated. The Shipping Container and Quantity per License Plate fields are filled by default based on the Default Packaging set up for the item. |
No. of Shipping Containers | Specifies the number of shipping containers used. |
Shipping Unit Code | Specifies the shipping unit type for the mentioned shipping container. |
No. of Shipping Units | Specifies the number of shipping units present in the shipping container for the related shipping unit code. |
Tare Weight | Specifies the weight of the empty packaging, shipping container, and shipping units. |
NoteOn the Item Card page, if the Use Packaging for Receipt Weigh Scale, Use Packaging for Shipment Weigh Scale, and Use Packaging for SFP Output Weigh Scale toggles are turned on, then the Shipping Container Code and Shipping Unit Code gets automatically filled based on the default
packaging setup configured for the specified item.
On Weight FastTab,
Field | Description |
---|---|
Quantity | Specifies the quantity of the items expressed in the unit of measure configured on the document lines. |
Weight From Scale | Specifies the output displayed by the scale in the configured unit of measure. |
Weight Quantity To Handle | Specifies the net weight of the item. This is calculated as (Weight From Scale - Tare Weight). |
Unit of Measure | Specifies the unit of measure configured in the document line. |
On Totals FastTab,
Field | Description |
---|---|
Total Quantity Weighted | Specifies the sum of the quantity associated with all the weight scale transactions for the lot number specified for this document. |
Total Quantity to Receive | Specifies the total quantity of items that must be received based on the warehouse receipt lines. |
Total Weight Quantity Weighted | Specifies the sum of the weight quantity to handle associated with all the weight scale transactions for the specified lot number in this document. |
Item Tracking Quantity | Specifies the sum of the total quantity for which item tracking is defined. |
NoteOn the Totals FastTab, you can view the Total Quantity to Ship upon executing the Register Weight function on the Warehouse Shipment page.
- On the action bar, select the Get Weight function.
The system fills the Weight from Scale field value on Weights FastTab. - To fill the Weight from Scale field value manually, on the action bar, select the Fill Weight Manually function.
The system allows you to register the Weight from Scale field value manually. - On the action bar, select Actions > Assign Lot No.
The system displays a dialog box. - Select Existing Lot if there are existing lots for the item, or else select New Lot. The system assigns Lot No. for the item.
- To assign a license plate number, select Actions > Create License Plate.
The system assigns License Plate No. - To print labels, select Actions > Save and Print Labels.
- On the action bar, select Save.
The system registers the activity.
NoteThe system allows the value of the Weight Quantity to Handle (KG) field
for under-delivery and over-delivery based on the Item Catch Weight Setup
under the following scenarios:On the Item Card page, the item has the Catch Weight toggle turned on. The Catch Weight Setup Code is set up for All on the Item Card page.
