The following toggles can be turned on to post when completing the document on the scanner:

  7. On the Journal Setup FastTab, select the appropriate journals for the Production Output, Production Consumption and Bin Movement (non directed) groups. Based on the modules you choose, enter the corresponding details in the Adv. Consumption, Bin Replenishment and Loadlist groups.
When using the Adv. Consumption group, it is mandatory to fill in the Warehouse Template Group and Warehouse Template Code fields.

Note

Best practice is to use separate WMS Batches for all your WMS processes, so that they are not disturbed by incomplete entries in the batches used for manual adjustments.

What does Direct registering and posting means in Aptean Warehouse Management System?

OWM starts to process and register or post the scanned information, from the moment you complete the document on the scanner.
Direct registering and posting in Aptean Warehouse Management System, immediately registers or posts every scan you do.
It gives you the advantage, every item and license plate is always in the correct bin after a put-away, pick, production output, and movement. It ensures the following conditions:

  • Your inventory is always up to date.
  • Any mistakes when picking will immediately trigger a warning or an error on the scanner.
  • No intermediate table to check when inventory is not up to date.
