Integration with Aptean Lot Management

Article09/04/20243 min read

You can integrate the Aptean Warehouse Management System extension with the Aptean Lot Management extension to generate lot numbers for items using a predefined profile. This integration allows for the creation of lot numbers incorporating various elements such as dates, vendor information, or document numbers. Once a lot profile is defined on the Item Card page, the system automatically assigns the corresponding lot number to the scanner. However, if a lot number series is specified instead of lot profiles, the system will assign the lot number based on the designated series. Additionally, the system records essential details such as the vendor’s lot number and the production date, which are crucial for tracking and traceability.

Moreover, this integration enhance the performance of Receipt and Put-Away activities, further streamlining inventory management and ensuring accuracy in handling lot-tracked items.

  1. Open the Item Card page.
  2. On the Item Tracking FastTab, in the Item Tracking Code field, select the desired option from the dropdown menu, such as LOTALL.
  3. In the Lot Nos. field, select the required value.
Or, in the Lot No. Profile field, select the required value.
For more information, see Create Lot No. with Lot No. Profile.
Note

Lot numbers can be generated using either a number series or a lot number profile. Therefore, you can only specify the Lot No. Profile field if the Lot Nos. field is empty, and vice versa.
