What's new in version 2509.0.0.0
Features
With the features added in this release of the Aptean Warehouse Management System extension,
- The system behavior has been enhanced to allow greater flexibility in managing the Pick According to FEFO toggle on the Location Card page. This feature ensures that this toggle is only restricted for locations where
the Warehouse Pick module is installed.- If the Pick According to FEFO toggle on the Location Card page is turned on while the Aptean Beverage extension, Drink-IT Edition is installed, the system restricts you from installing the Warehouse Pick module on the Modules on Scanner page.
The warning message reads as When Pick According to FEFO is enabled and Advanced Warehouse Management is installed, the system cannot guarantee that picks will be created as expected. The Warehouse templates process order will not be followed, and inventory not in bin groups can cause incomplete picks.
- If the Warehouse Pick module is installed on the Modules on Scanner page and you attempt to turn on the Pick According to FEFO toggle, the system displays an appropriate error message.
- If the Pick According to FEFO toggle on the Location Card page is turned on while the Aptean Beverage extension, Drink-IT Edition is installed, the system restricts you from installing the Warehouse Pick module on the Modules on Scanner page.
Turning on this toggle may lead to unexpected behavior, as:
- When using bin groups (AWM) and some items are in a bin without bin group or in a bin with a bin group which is not included in the process order of the used Warehouse Templates page, the result will be having incomplete warehouse picks.
- The functionality of Pick According to FEFO sorts the bin contents differently than we use in Aptean Beverage Advanced Warehouse Management, when using full and mixed picks, which will divide picking lines for a full license plate number over multiple lines to pick as a mix pick. The Pick According to FEFO is selecting lot numbers from multiple bins for a full pallet quantity, because they are the oldest lot numbers, so a full pallet pick will move to be a mix pallet pick.
- Changing the lot number on the warehouse pick is not possible because of the tracking in the warehouse pick created by using Pick According to FEFO.
- Using source documents with other units of measure than the base unit of measure creates unregistrable warehouse picks because of rounding issues.
For more information see, Indroduction.
-
You can adjust item quantities directly from the License Plate Info scanning module using the Change LP Item Qty request form handler.
Key validations:
- Adjusted quantity should not be greater than the pallet quantity.
- Adjustments are only allowed for license plates with the open status. If attempted on any other status, the system displays error message.
- If a reason code has an assigned bin and the quantity entered is positive, the system blocks the transaction with an error message.
- If the reason code bin is valid and the quantity is negative, the system moves items from the current bin to the reason code’s bin using the item reclassification journal or warehouse journal (for directed locations).
The system automatically selects the correct journal type:- Item Journal - Item Reclassification Journal for non-directed locations.
- Warehouse Journal - Warehouse Item Journal for directed locations.
- The system allows only authorized users who have access to individual request forms to perform sensitive actions such as inventory corrections or license plate modifications. That is only the users assigned in the WMS User No. on the Request Form Users FastTab of the Module Settings page are allowed to modify the license plate quantity. If no user is assigned, then any authorized user can access.
- The system supports accurate configuration of field mappings and option selectors within the Change LPN Item Qty screen related to the License Plate Info screen. This feature supports defining the correct table and field linkages for both quantity and reason code fields in request forms used for license plate quantity adjustments directly from the scanner.
- You can manually print license plate labels by executing the Print Partial Pick LP action on the Pick screen (displayed only if the request form has relevant setup) and confirming it when automated printing is not possible. With the Print Partial Pick LP request form handler**,** the system identifies all registered license plates associated with the current warehouse pick operation and prints labels according to the label setup defined in the warehouse template. This ensures that both automated and manual printing methods produce identical, compliant label outputs.
- Manual printing is supported only for Warehouse Picks to ensure controlled and predictable behavior.
- The feature can be executed multiple times for the same pick if additional items are processed later. For more information, see Walkthrough Printing picked license plates manually.
- The system validates request form entries configurations in the Warehouse Pick module of the Module Settings page to prevent errors caused by missing the request ID field value. If this field is empty, the system displays an error message prompting you to enter a valid ID before saving.

Resolved issues
The following issues have been resolved in this release.
| ID | Description |
|---|---|
| 330182 | The system fails to retain the remining quantity on the original license plate number in the personal movement bin during the Ad Hoc Movement process, after partially moving items to another license plate number (new) on the destination bin. Additionally, the system fails to display an error message when the entered quantity is greater than the available license plate quantity. |
