Lump sum calculation in transport order

Article06/25/20242 min read

Lump sum calculation in transport order allows users to apply predefined costs to transport orders based on the source document on the configured trade plans.
This feature ensures efficient and consistent cost allocation across different transport scenarios. The following procedure describes how to perform this activity.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Transport Orders, and then choose the related link.
The Transport Orders list page opens.
  2. Select the preferred No.
The Transport Order card page opens.
  3. On the Cost Lines FastTab, in the Trade Plan No. field, verify and set up the relevant trade plan number.
  4. On the action bar, select Recalculate Costs.

After recalculation, the system will apply costs based on the configured trade plan to each relevant line of the transport order.
Upon selecting the Lump sum checkbox on the Trade Plan card page, the fields Calculation Rate Type No., From, and To fields becomes non-editable, and the defined Cost in LCY field value is equally divided among the cost lines defined on the associated transport order.
If you select the Lump sum checkbox for one of the lines, the system verifies the cost based on the defined floor space and calculates accordingly.

Note
  • Ensure that floor space codes defined in the transport order align with those configured in the trade plan for accurate cost application.
  • Adjust trade plan settings (such as costs, routes, and agents) as per specific business requirements to accurately reflect transport costs.
  • If you change a trade plan after assigning it to a transport order, you must select the Recalculate action. The system does not automatically check for updates.
  • If a line in the trade plan defines a record for the floor space code, that record will be applied to that line. The lump sum will be applied to the remaining lines.
