Article05/08/20232 min read

The actual costs will be posted via an invoice from the trade partner, depending on the setting this can be a purchase invoice, sales invoice, or sales credit memo. You can get the (expected) trade accrual entries to the invoice/credit memo line and enter the actual costs/revenue.

Note

For document lines, the Item Charge Assignment is done based on the Amount in the Trade Accrual Interim.

The following instruction describes how to post the actual costs/revenues for a purchase invoice. The steps are similar for the sales invoice or sales credit memo.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Purchase Invoices and then choose the related link.
The Purchase Invoices list page opens.

  2. On the action bar, choose the New action to open the item card page.

  3. On the General FastTab, in the Vendor Name field, select the required code from the AssistEdit button

  4. On the Lines FastTab, select Line > Functions > Get Accrual Entries.
Select More Options, if the Line action isn’t displayed.
Only transaction entries with the same currency code as on the invoice header are shown

  5. Select one or more trade accrual entries and then click OK.

  6. Select Direct Unit Cost Excl. VAT. and enter the actual cost as on the invoice from the trade partner.

    Note

When the Direct Unit Cost is changed, the Item Charge Assignments are also changed by the system.

  7. On the action bar, click Posting.

  8. Click Post.
A dialog box opens displaying the following message: Do you want to post the invoice?

  9. Click Yes.
The expected costs/revenues are now reversed and replaced by the actual cost/revenue.

In the Get Trade Accrual Entries page from Sales/Purchase invoice and Sales/ Credit Memo, you can view the values for Org. Doc. Type and Org. Doc. No.

You can also be able to filter the values for selection. These fields capture the original document type and number in the context of the Trade Accrual Entry (Interim) table.

Value entries

After posting the invoice/credit memo with the actual costs, the value entries are reversed, and new value entries are created with the actual cost/revenue.

  1. Select the Search icon ,enter Trade Plans.
The Trade Plans list page opens.
  2. Select the trade plan for which the actual costs are posted.
  3. On the action bar, click Related > Related Entries > Value Entries.
