Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Trade Management extension, you can:

• Configure trade plans and trade plan rates for periodic costs, ensuring accurate allocation of time-dependent costs, such as cooling and ripening. The system calculates periodic costs and initiates posting of costs using trade cost orders. Further, the system distributes these costs across purchase and transfer receipts daily, ensuring precise cost management.

• You can configure trade plans for production costs, ensuring accurate allocation of production-related costs, such as packing. The system allocates production costs to production order lines based on the trade plan setup. Further, the system automatically updates the capacity ledger entries and linked value entries, and posts the production costs when the production order is finished.

• You can set up the cost correction feature and update all unposted and posted header cost tables using the Enable Cost Correction Feature toggle. For more information, see Set up trade management.

  When using this functionality the system migrates data from posted purchase, posted transfer, and sales cost tables into new tables to better support the complex setup. Any existing reporting/querying customization done to the old tables must be migrated to the new tables. The initiation of the feature migrates the data one time and this cannot be undone.

• You can add trade plans representing cost accruals to record cost correction or addition (for example, transport or handling charges) to posted purchase receipt, posted sales shipment, and posted sales invoice documents, without requiring modifications in the posted documents. This ensures complete cost tracking even when trade-related expenses are identified later.

• You can cancel trade plans that have not been invoiced on posted purchase receipt, posted sales shipment, and posted sales invoice documents. For more information, see Cancel trade plans on posted documents.

Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Trade Management extension, the system:

• Issues trade statements for posted document trade statement lines that have the For Document Line No. field value set to 0, when using the Issue Trade Statement action on the Trade Statement Card page.
  Additionally, the Retain Source Dimensions toggle on the Issue Trade Statements page is turned off and non-editable for trade statement lines with the For Document Line No. field value set to 0. For more information, see Manage trade statements.

• Ensure that when the Price Rule field value is set to Unit Cost, the Item Charge No. field value is set to blank, and vice versa, on the Trade Plan Card page. This enhancement ensures that trade plans without the Item Charge No. field value and with the Unit Cost field value are applied to purchase orders. This addresses the issue reported in bug ID #250162.

  The system turns on the Invalid toggle for trade plans that do not align with this updated logic.

  These fields are visible only when the Trade Plan Type field value is set to Periodic.

• The Work Center field has been added to the Trade Plan Card page. This field is visible only when the Trade Plan Type field value is set to Production.

• The following fields have been added to the Trade Plan Rates page.

  • Periodic Rate Type

  The Free Storage Period and Periodic Rate Type fields are visible only when the Trade Plan Type field value is set to Periodic on the Trade Plan Card page.

• The Rate Type field has been added to the Trade Plan Rates page. This field is visible only when the Trade Plan Type field value is set to Production on the Trade Plan Card page.

• The Enable Cost Correction Feature⁠ toggle has been added to the Trade Management Setup page.

• The Periodic and Production options have been added to the Trade Plan Type field on the Trade Plan Card page.
