Send the order to TLx on release

The Aptean Total Logistics extension allows you to automatically send the released sales or purchase order to TLx for routing based on the shipment method code linked to the customer or vendor and the configuration on the TLx Setup page.

To set up the required details on the sales order, follow the below steps:

1. Select the Search icon , enter Sales Orders, and then choose the related link.
   The Sales Orders list page opens.

2. Select the desired No.
   The Sales Order card page opens.

   On the TLx Details FastTab,

   • In the TLx Payment Type field, the value is automatically inherited based on the Shipment Method Code selected.
     This field is editable only when the Status field is set to open.

   • In the TLx Status field, the value is automatically inherited based on the status of the document in TLx.

   • In the Last Sent to TLx field, the value is updated with the date and time when the order is sent to TLx. This will remain empty till the order is sent to TLx.

   • In the TLx Shipment ID field, the value is updated once the shipment is created in TLx.

   • The Shipping Services Included field is updated with the number of predefined services assigned for the order.

You can also send the released order to TLx manually by selecting Actions > Functions > Send to TLx on the action bar of the Sales Order card page when the system does not automatically send the order due to the setup, connection or authentication issues.

You will receive a notification message for confirmation to send the related information to TLx during the release of the order.

The TLx Details FastTab is visible only when the Shipment Method Code selected on the order is configured with the Sent to TLx checkbox selected.

When you reopen the released sales order, the system deletes the order in TLx automatically by sending the cancel shipment request.

When you try to reopen the sales order with the TLx status not equal to Open, any changes made to the order will not be sent to TLx and a confirmation message will appear.

Send sales order information to TLx

When you release the sales order and the Sales Order toggle in the Send to TLx on Release group of the TLx Setup page is turned on, then the information from the order is exchanged with TLx.

This updates the Shipment Status field as Open for the Document Type field value set as Sales on the TLx Order Status page. Also, the following fields are updated on the TLx Log page as below:

The TLx Log Details page is also updated with the Data Direction field as Outbound and also with respective values in the Variable Name and Variable Values fields.

The fields on the TLx Details FastTab of the associated sales order get updated as follows:

This works similarly for the purchase order, except that the TLx Payment Type and Shipping Services Included fields are not available.
