Use “Mixed” excise locations to steer bin selection and tax calculations in Advanced Warehouse Management
In Aptean Beverage Tax Management, it is possible to work with ‘Mixed’ Tax Locations. This means that an (excise) good that is stored in such a location can be bonded (no tax paid yet) or non-bonded (taxes are paid). A location can only be a mixed tax location when it is setup with bins and warehouse activities are required. There are two options for picking processes:
- Mixed – Mixed
- The direction of a movement decides where to pick from. So, a picking for a shipment to a duty paid customer will first try to pick from a tax paid bin. When tax paid bins can’t fulfill the requested quantity, the pick will be done from bonded bins.
- Mixed – Bonded
- Pickings for outbound lines (sales and transfers) are considered as delivered from a bonded location.
