Connect return reason codes to reason codes

In the Tax rules it is possible to create rules that are only applicable in combination with a Reason Code in a document.This makes it for instance possible to create a general rule for sales returns where taxes are not calculated but, as an exception, the tax will be calculated when damaged during shipment is the reason for the return.

In Business Central there are separate tables for Reason Codes and Return Reason Codes. To reduce the setup in the rules, Aptean Beverage connected these tables with each other: a Return Reason can be connected to a Reason Code.

1. Select the Search icon , enter Return Reasons, and then choose the related link.
2. On the Return Reasons page, select the Code that you want to connect with a Reason Code.
3. In the Reason Code field, select an existing Reason Code.
