Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Beverage Tax Management, Drink-IT Edition,

• You can define a special tax amount for specific items directly on the item card by using the Tax Unit Amount 1 and Tax Unit Amount 2 fields and what can be used in the formula on the Taxes page to calculate the unit tax amount. The caption and the number of decimal places for these values are configured on the Tax Management Setup page.

• You can open the Tax Classifications page directly from the Location, Customer, Ship-to Address, Vendor, and Order Address card pages to view and edit tax classification relations. You can also view the number of tax classification relations that exist for the related record in the Tax Classifications field.

• The system allows to include the Tax Calculation Factor field value when calculating the tax formula on the Item Card page even if the item has inventory. Additionally, the system updates the Tax Calculation Factor field value on the Item Card page when you change the corresponding field value on the linked Tax Classification Relation and Tax Value pages, and vice versa.

• On the Tax Ledger Entries page, the Source Type field value is inherited with the location, and the Source No. field value is inherited with the location code for transfer entries.

• You can define if the tax rule is required for each tax code in addition to the configuration on the Tax Management Setup page. The Tax Rule Required field on the Taxes page includes following options:

  • Default
  • Yes
  • No

  The system validates the tax rule based on the combination of values in the Tax Rule Required field on the Tax Management Setup and Taxes pages as below:

UI/UX changes

The following UI/UX changes have been made in this release.

• The Tax Formula FastTab has been added to the Tax Management Setup page.
• The Caption Tax Unit Amount 1 and Caption Tax Unit Amount 2 fields have been added to the Tax Formula FastTab of the Tax Management Setup page.
• The Tax Unit Amount 1 and Tax Unit Amount 2 fields have been added to the Tax Management FastTab of the Item Card page.
• The Tax Classifications field has been added to the Location Card page.
• The Tax Classifications field has been added to the Tax Management FastTab of the Ship-to Address and Order Address pages linked to the Customer Card and Vendor Card pages, respectively.
• The Tax Rules Required field has been added to the Taxes page.
