Introduction

The Aptean Sublot Management (SUL) extension makes it possible to create a subdivision of a lot by splitting off the desired quantity from the “parent” lot. The resulting child, the sublot, can have a new lot number assigned or an existing lot number can be selected. When a new lot number is assigned, a new Lot No. Information Card page will be created. The sublot can for example be used for assembly, production or for another transaction separately from the parent lot.

The Create Sublot function is available from the Lot No. Information Card page. The function opens a screen in which the locations and bins are shown where the inventory of the selected lot number is stocked. The desired quantity to split off from the lot to the sublot must be entered. It is also possible to select a new location code and/or bin code for the sublot. After creating a sublot, the relation between the lot and the sublot can be viewed from both the original and from the new Lot No. Information Card page.
