Selecting a production order in the Shop Floor Production app
Before registering the input and output on a production order, the correct production order must be selected in the Shop Floor Production Power Apps. Production orders are displayed depending on the Company, Work Center and Machine Center.
On the first page, choose your language. By default, the language is set to the language of the device you are working on. Translations and language options are set up in the Shop Floor Production Setup and Monitoring app. If the language of the device is not adjustable, English will be selected by default.
The date and time format fields on the Shop Floor Production Power App change according to the selected language. The table below shows the languages and their respective date and time formats.

On the pages with data you can refresh the information. When selecting refresh the most current data is retrieved. It is important to know that it is necessary to be online to see the most up-to-date information.
Company
When opening the app, the desired company must first be selected. All companies in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central are displayed.
- Select a company.
Work Center
After the company has been chosen, the Work Centers of the chosen company are displayed. Dynamics 365 Business Central allows you to view the number of open released production orders per Work Center. The work centers that are shown meet the following requirements:
- In the setup of the Work Center in Dynamics 365 Business Central is indicated that the Work Center will be visible in the app. When in the setup of the Work Center, the Work Center is blocked, but the setup indicates that it will be visible in the app.
- The Office365 User who is logged into the app must be set up as user of the Work Center in Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Select a work center.
Machine Center
The machine center screen will only be visible when a machine center is linked to the selected work center and there is more than one machine center in the selected work center.
NoteWhen multiple machine centers are available within the work center, you can view the list of machine centers along with their associated production orders, regardless of whether any specific machine center has active production orders.
- Select a Machine Center
ImportantIn the routing lines, you can add a work center with an associated machine center for planning purposes. However, the production orders are displayed in the Aptean Shop Floor Production Power App only when the work center is replaced by the associated machine center. Additionally, the system will not display the related routing lines with work centers that have associated machine centers.
Production Order
The available Production Orders Routing Lines are displayed. Production Orders are displayed when they meet the following:
- The Work Center Routing Line must be linked to a Work Center.
- The status of the order must be Released.
- The starting date of the order must be within the System date + the date filter set in the Shop Floor Production Setup in Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- There is a choice whether Finished Orders should be visible in the overview. If there is a checkmark at the bottom of the Show finished production orders page, finished orders are visible. If the order is still active in Business Central, the Finished Production Order can be reopened. Otherwise, the list will be refreshed and the Finished Production Order will be removed from the list.
- Select a Production Order.
NoteA message appears stating that the Aptean Advanced Comments for Food and Beverage extension is not installed. The future release integration will be changed to resolve this behavior. However, this error does not impact the functioning of the extension.
