Introduction

The Shop Floor Logistics extension provides an overview page of all open incoming and outgoing logistics activities, which makes it easier to support the planning in the warehouse. The Shop Floor Activities page contains a logistical date/time, used to chronologically display all incoming and outgoing logistics activities. Per document type, a logistical status is depicted, indicating its logistical progress: there are three statuses that indicate whether the logistic activity has been created, whether it is in progress and whether it is ready to post. This makes it easier to prioritize shop floor activities based on a combination of time and current status. Furthermore, it is possible to create, open, and post inventory put-away and/or inventory pick documents. The Shop Floor Activities page serves as a handy starting point for all warehouse activities.

The Shop Floor Logistics extension also provides an overview page that gives information on which and how many items per location are in stock. It provides insight into the inventory of the entire company across all locations, regardless of any filtering. This can help decide which items need to be reordered, produced, or transferred, preventing out-of-stock issues. The Items by Location - Enhanced and Inventory Details pages can be used for various purposes such as maintaining a balance between too much and too little inventory and keeping track of total inventory across locations. It also gives insight into inventory for a specific item on location, bin, and lot level.
