Setup
You need to perform a few setups in the Quality Control (QCA) extension for BC, like, Number Series, Quality Control Users, Quality Control Teams, Units of Measure, Quality Control Options, Quality Control Questions, Quality Control Action Plan, Quality Control Triggers, and Quality Control Checks.
Set up quality control
You can setup the reason code for the change inspection status, number series for quality actions, quality checks, quality action plans, and the assciated posted documents, and attribues on the Quality Control Setup page.
The following steps describe how to set up the quality control fields:
- Select the Search icon
, enter Quality Control Setup, and then choose the related link. - On the General FastTab, in the Reason Code Change Inspection Status field, choose the desired code.
This code is automatically updated whenever the inspection status of a batch changes after the quality check has been completed. - On the Number Series FastTab, fill in the following fields as required:

| Quality Check Nos. | Specify the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers to quality checks. |
| Quality Action Nos. | Specify the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers to quality actions. |
| Posted Quality Check Nos. | Specify the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers to posted quality checks. |
| Posted Quality Action Nos. | Specify the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers to posted quality actions. |
| Quality Plans Nos. | Specify the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers to quality plans. |
| Quality Action Plan Nos. | Specify the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers to quality action plans. |
| Quality Option Nos. | Specify the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers to quality options. |
- On the Attributes FastTab, fill in the following fields as required:

| Item Attribute | Specify the sequence number of the item attribute that can be used for quality triggers. |
| Customer Attribute | Specify the sequence number of the customer attribute that can be used for quality triggers. |
| Vendor Attribute | Specify the sequence number of the vendor attribute that can be used for quality triggers. |
| Item Attribute Name | Indicate the name of the item attribute that can be used for quality triggers. |
| Customer Attribute Name | Indicate the name of the customer attribute that can be used for quality triggers. |
| Vendor Attribute Name | Indicate the name of the vendor attribute that can be used for quality triggers. |
- On the action bar, select Related > Create Quality Control Check to run the quality control check report.
