Process quality control checks

You can manage and track your quality control processes with an intuitive, touch-optimized interface. All assigned checks and actions are displayed in one place, with real-time updates to Business Central. Tasks are easy to navigate, ensuring focus on the most relevant information for your role.

The system provides a streamlined view of quality control checks that are assigned to the user and team, with the ability to filter and search based on various parameters in one consolidated screen. 

  1. Select the Search icon alt text, enter Quality Control App, and then choose the related link. 
    The Quality Control App page opens. 


For optimal performance, use the Quality Control App page in tablet mode when accessing it through a computer browser or the Business Central app on Android and iOS. For more information, see Open Business Central tablet or phone client from a browser.

Upon opening the page, you can view the Checks and Actions tab on the navigation bar. 

  1. The Checks tab opens by default to view all the quality checks, and you can filter the quality control checks assigned to the team of the logged-in user. 
  2. Select the Actions tab to view the quality control action items. 

The Quality Control App page includes a comprehensive set of fields that provide detailed information about each quality check. The fields displayed on the page are as follows: 

FieldDescription
No. Quality check number.
Status Status of the quality check (e.g., New, In Progress, or Posted). 
Document  Type of document associated with the quality check. This field also displays the associated document number.
Doc. Action  Trigger actions that created the quality check for the document. 
SourceInformation on the source document or entity, and the source number. (e.g., Customer, Vendor, or work Center). 
Source Name Name of the source document or entity. 
Item/LotItem and lot number associated with the quality check.
Assigned To Team or user assigned to the quality check.
Team Quality control team responsible for the check. 
Created Date Date when the quality check was created. 

You can turn on the Show posted toggle to view the list of posted quality checks. You can view the posted quality checks and actions based on the setup in the QC Data Load Period field on the Quality Control Setup page. For more information, see Set up quality control. 

When the toggle is turned on, you can view the following additional fields: 

FieldDescription
Posted DateDate when the quality control check was posted. 
Score  Quality control check score. 
Result  Outcome of the quality control check. It specifies whether the quality control check is passed or failed. 


You can use the search bar to filter quality checks based on any column. For example, you can search by quality check number, assigned team, or document number.
