Features

With the features added in this release of the Aptean Quality Control (BC) extension,

• You can configure the system to use either the actual calendar date or the Business Central work date to populate the creation date on quality control checks and the completion date on posted quality control checks. This helps the quality control data to align with the operational dates defined in your organization. For more information, see Set up quality control.

• You can configure the system to use either the work center location or the production order line location when creating production orders from quality control triggers. This improves inventory management and provides greater flexibility in handling the routing process. For more information, see Set up quality control.

• You can set up quality control triggers for all locations, instead of a specific location by configuring the Location Type field on the Quality Control Triggers page. For more information, see Set up quality control triggers.

  By default, the Location Type field value is set to Location to avoid disrupting existing quality control triggers set up for a specific location.

• You can configure the system to automatically create a follow-up quality control check when a quality control check fails by configuring the Failure QC Plan and Failure QC Team fields on the associated Quality Control Plan page. For more information, see Set up quality control plans. The system automatically inherits the required information in the newly created quality control check. For more information, see Manage the automatic creation of quality control checks.

• You can view additional information about quality control plans on the Details tab of the FactBox on the Quality Control Plans list and Quality Control Plan card pages. Additionally, on the Attachments tab of the FactBox, you can add links and notes to the quality control plan. This enhances visibility and decision making. • The system displays global lot attribute values on the Quality Control Checks and Posted Quality Control Checks pages when the related purchase, sales, production, or transfer order lines are associated with one lot. This helps with filtering and sorting quality control checks based on global lot attributes.

  This feature is applicable only when the Aptean Advanced Attributes extension is installed.

• You can automate the creation and management of inspection tags for lots that require follow-up testing or have expired sales expiration dates through enhanced report functionality. The system identifies applicable lots based on predefined criteria and generates inspection tags with calculated follow-up dates according to configured intervals. • You can create and manage customizable follow-up schedules that define predetermined intervals with support for real-time stability, accelerated stability, and intermediate conditions testing. For more information, see Set up follow-up schedule.

Enhancements/Modifications

With this release of the Aptean Quality Control (BC) extension,

• The system creates quality control checks while posting partial outputs via production or output journals when the Per Lot checkbox is selected on the Quality Control Trigger page. This ensures that quality control measures are applied for partial output postings.

• The FactBoxes on the Quality Control Checks and Posted Quality Control Checks list pages have been updated to display details on their respective card pages. This ensures quality control information is presented uniformly across the list and card pages.

• You can assign values in the Category Values field on the Quality Control Questions page for lines with the Question Type field value set to Lot Attribute and when the lot attribute selected in the Lot Attribute Name field is of option, integer, decimal, or lookup type. This enhancement addresses the issue reported in bug ID #326517 and #302001.

• The Quality Control RW role has been renamed to Quality Control on the Available Roles page. This enhancement addresses the issue reported in bug ID #295851.

• The Default Inspection Status page has been enhanced to support both follow-up schedules and individual follow-up periods, with mutual exclusivity to prevent configuration conflicts. The system now incorporates base calendar codes when calculating follow-up dates to ensure inspection tags are scheduled only on working days.

UI/UX changes

The following UI/UX changes have been made in this release.

• The Follow-up Schedules pages has been added.
• A FactBox has been added to the Quality Control Plans list and Quality Control Plan card pages.
• The Failure QC Information group has been added to the Details tab of the FactBox on the Quality Control Checks list and Quality Control Check card pages.
• The following fields have been added to the Quality Control Setup page.
