Profile Setup
You must perform the following configurations before working with the Aptean Profiles extension. On the Profile Setup page, you can assign number series for the newly created profiles and configure other profile-related settings.
- Select the Search icon
, enter Profile Setup, and then choose the related link. The Profile Setup page opens. - On the General FastTab, fill in the fields as follows:

| Profile Nos. | Select the code for the number series that will be used to assign numbers for the newly created profiles. |
| Checks | Select the validation timing for inclusions and exclusions checks in profiles when applied to sales orders. The available options are: On Insert: Validate upon selecting an item on the sales order line or a lot number on the Item Tracking Lines page for the sales order line. On Release: Validate upon releasing the sales order. When it is selected, the system will also execute the same checks upon posting the shipment of the sales order. This is the default option for this field. |
| EDI Orders by Release | Turn on this toggle to apply the checks for inclusions and exclusions when releasing the sales orders that are generated through EDI Ports. This toggle is turned on automatically if the On Release value is selected in the Checks field. |
| Validation On Sales | Select the type of indication for receiving alerts when the validation for inclusions and exclusions fails. The available options are: Notification: Notify when a mismatch between the selected item or lot and the assigned profile. Also, the system allows you to disregard this notification and proceed with working on the sales order. This is the default option for this field. Error: Trigger an error preventing the selection of the item or lot and the release of the sales order. |
