Categorizing sales price sets and linking them to documents like sales orders streamlines pricing management. The system primarily streamlines copying extensive price lists across different pricing periods within designated categories, simplifying pricing data management and facilitating price list organization.
This feature allows you to categorize different sales price sets into groups, ensuring uniform pricing execution, enhancing customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The following procedure describes how to perform this activity.

  1. Select the Search icon , enter Sales Price Categories and, then choose the related link.
    The Sales Price Categories page opens.
  2. On the action bar, select New.
    The system populates a new line.
  3. Enter the Code and Description.
    The sales price category is created.
  4. On the action bar, select Sales Price List Category.
    The Sales Price Lists page opens.
  5. Select the required Code.
    The Sales Price List page opens.
  6. On the Price Matrix FastTab, fill in the following fields:

Sales Price List CategorySelect the sales price list category code that you want to assign to the defined sales price list.
Price BasisSelect the alternate cost code that you want to assign to the defined sales price list.
Source TypeSelect the source you want to assign the specified sales price list and alternate code.
Source No.Select the number assigned to the source that is used to identify the source.

The sales price list category is assigned to the sales price list.

  1. On the action bar, select Actions > Calculate Price .
    The system displays a dialog box confirming the update of the Unit Price on the Lines FastTab, based on the configuration on the Price Matrix FastTab.
Note

The Unit Price will be updated for items for which you have selected the Allow Price Calculation checkbox.
