Scan License Plate based on SSCC Number during full picking of Sales Order

When a correct License Plate format is scanned, the License Plate can be used without the need to transfer to another/new License Plate no. The following scenarios are based on the SSCC number:

• When a customer requires a specific SSCC number, the warehouse employee must pick a full License Plate which has already a Customer SSCC number. The License Plate format must be equal to the Customer SSCC number to be considered as a correct License Plate format.
• When a customer does not require a specific SSCC number, the warehouse employee must pick a full License Plate with Company SSCC number. The License Plate format must be equal to the Company SSCC number to be considered as a correct License Plate format.
  1. Open the Pick page on the mobile device.
     Because the pallet is homogenous, the item number and lot number are automatically entered in the mobile device.
  2. Enter or scan the Warehouse Pick number on the Pick/SO/Trans/WMS No. field for the customer.
  3. In the Identifier field, enter or scan the License Plate number, which is the Customer SSCC number.
  4. Enter a Shipping Unit Code.
  5. Enter the next line in the warehouse pick.

To scan a company SSCC number as the License Plate number:

1. Open the Pick page, enter or scan the Warehouse Pick number.
2. In the Identifier field, enter or scan the License Plate number, which is the Company SSCC number. Because the Customer has no SSCC number defined, still, the Customer SSCC is enabled in the Customer SSCC setup.

Because the pallet is homogenous, the item number and lot number are automatically entered into the mobile device.

In Business Central, the pick quantity is maintained on a Scan Quantity field in the Warehouse Pick. The number of scans for a warehouse pick line is maintained on a No. of Scans field in the Warehouse Pick. This data is stored in the Mobile Scan Entry table.

When clicking Register on the mobile device, the recorded scan data will be transferred to the Qty. to Handle field on the Warehouse Pick page, and then the warehouse pick is registered.

The status of the corresponding Mobile Scan Entries in Business Central has changed from Pending to Transferred.

An error message is displayed when there is another shipment for the selected License Plate number for the customer. Then, the shipping container is linked as the default SSCC shipping container for this customer when the Mandatory SSCC Shipping Types toggle is turned ON.
