Article10/25/20233 min read

The Lot Origin Details FastTab on the Lot No. Information Card page from the Aptean Lot Management extension provides extra information about the Lot No., such as the Vendor Lot No. and Production Date. If the Aptean Food and Beverage Lot Management extension is installed, these values will be saved to the Lot Origin Details on the Lot No. Information Card during the purchase process. If the Aptean Lot Management for Food and Beverage extension is not installed, the values will only be saved to the Mobile Scan Entries.

  1. Open the Menu icon to open the Summary screen on the Receive activity.
  2. Select the record.
  3. Select Details.
  4. Enter the Vendor Lot No.
  5. Enter the Production Date.
  6. Select Accept.
The values entered in the Vendor Lot No. and Production Date fields are saved in the Mobile Scan Entry and the Lot Origin Details FastTab on the Lot No. Information Card page if the Aptean Food and Beverage Lot Managementextension is installed.
Note

You can change the App Locale field on the Mobile Setup page to change the date format.

Integration at receipt with Parsing GS1 barcode

While entering a GS1 barcode, the application identifiers for Vendor Lot Number and Production Date are processed. In case the Lot Management extension is installed, the registered values will also be saved in the Lot Origin Details FastTab on the Lot No. Information Card page.

  • When scanning a barcode that contains the Application Identifier (10), this value will be automatically registered as the Vendor Lot Number.
  • When scanning a barcode that contains the Application Identifier (11), this value will be automatically registered as the Production Date.
  • In case the application identifier for Production Date (11) is not present, but the application identifier for the Packaging Date (13) is present in the barcode, then this date will be registered as the Production Date.
  • In case both application identifiers for Production Date (11) and for the Packaging Date (13) are present, then only the production date will be as the Production Date.

Integration at receipt with parsing user-defined barcode

You can scan a user-defined barcode that contains a Vendor Lot Number and Production Date in the receipt activity. When the Aptean Food and Beverage Lot Management extension is installed, the values will be saved on the Lot Origin Details on the Lot No. Information Card during the purchase process.

  • When scanning a barcode, if the Mobile Barcode Setup which is used to parse the values, contains the Type ‘Vendor Lot No.’, this value will be automatically registered as the Vendor Lot Number.
  • When scanning a barcode, if the Mobile Barcode Setup which is used to parse the values, contains the Type ‘Pack/Production Date’, this value will be automatically registered as the Production Date.
Note

When you perform the Transfer Scan Data action on the Warehouse Receipt page, the Vendor Lot Number and the Vendor Production Date fields on the item tracking lines will be automatically filled with the information from the mobile scan entries in the Scan Quantity field on the Warehouse Receipt page.
