Autofill License Plate No., Item No., and Lot No. in Receipt activity

While scanning a license plate during the receipt activity, you can scan multiple boxes to register the content of the license plate.

If a license plate contains multiple boxes of cheese wheels with the same or different lot numbers, and the boxes have different weights, the company can register the total weight of the box as the quantity without considering how many pieces are placed within the box.

  1. Enter the Purchase Order No. in the Quick Scan field. The receive activity opens.
  2. Scan the Item No. that has to be received.
  3. Scan the barcode.

For example,

If the Purchase Order No.is PO0002, the scanned barcode is (00) 001234560000000018 (01) 00012345678905 (11) 220112 (3200) 001903 (21) 410100439 (10) VLOT001

  1. In the context menu, enable the Start Autofill LP, Item, Lot (F1) function.

A Mobile Scan Entry is created with the following details.

Status= Pending

Source Document= WHSEREC0001

Item No.= 0022

License Plate No.= 001234560000000018

Lot No.= UNASSIGNED

Quantity= 1903

Since AI 37 is not present in the barcode, the system uses AI 32 as the quantity.

Production Date = 01/12/2022 (MM/DD/YYYY)

Shipping Unit No.= 410100439

The serial number (AI 21) is registered as the shipping unit number.

Vendor Lot No.= VLOT001

Alternatively, you can enter the Item Number, License Plate Number and other values manually, instead of scanning one or more barcodes.

  1. Scan the next quantity for the previously entered License Plate No., Item No., and Lot No. to continue with Autofill scanning. Repeat this process to scan more quantities.
  2. On the context menu, select the Stop Autofill LP, Item, Lot (F1) function.
  3. Open the Menu icon to open the Summary tab in the Receive activity.
  4. Select the line with the required License Plate No., Item No., Lot No., and Quantity.
  5. Select the Details action.
  6. Select the Accept (F8) action.


The system automatically executes the Accept action for the populated data from Business Central and skips the Details screen if all required information is retrieved. When Auto Open Details and Auto Accept Details descriptions are set to Yes on the Mobile Profile Setup page, the system proceeds to the next step without requiring manual confirmation. However, if any required field values are missing, the Details screen will open, allowing you to manually review and accept the details.

The Mobile Scan Entry is updated.
