In Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can add packaging information from the vendor’s Shipment note to the warehouse receipt. If mandatory Lot attributes apply to any received items, you can assign the lot attributes in the item tracking lines in Business Central. Additionally, if the warehouse employee receives less than the ordered quantity, but the purchase order is fully received, you can enable the Underdelivery setting on the warehouse receipt in Business Central.

When recording the receipt quantity via Aptean Mobile Warehouse Registration, it is not entered directly into the Qty. to Receive field. Instead, it is maintained in a separate field called Scan Quantity. The No. of Scans field indicates the number of times the scan action has been performed.

Depending on the setup, you can configure the receiving activity to allow for the posting of recorded data through Aptean Mobile Warehouse Registration. When a user posts a warehouse receipt using the handheld device, the program will update the Qty. to Receive field on each line with the recorded scan quantity and then post the document. In this case, no additional processing is required in Business Central.

If this feature is not enabled, the relevant fields must be manually updated before posting the warehouse receipt. This can be done by opening the receipt document, selecting the Actions tab, and choosing the Transfer Scan Data option.

The values in the Scan Quantity field will be automatically transferred to the Qty. to Receive field on each line and the Scan Quantity values will be cleared. The document is now ready to be posted.
