When opened, the Lot Information page allows the user to specify a lot number.

If the Lot Information page was opened via a quick scan, this information will already be populated. If not, it must be manually entered in the Lot Number field. Physically pressing the Enter button on the handheld device will instruct Aptean Mobile Warehouse Registration to obtain information about the lot record.

The fields that were assigned to the relevant mobile profile in the Mobile Profile page are presented to the user.

Additional insight into a Lot’s availability can be obtained. Clicking the Availability tab will present a list of all bins in which the item lot is being stored.

The Availability tab presents a separate line for every bin in which the lot is contained. The quantity of the lot being stored is also included on each line.

A label containing the lot information can be printed from the handheld device. In case that the option ‘Labeling’ has been selected in the field Label Printing Method, the printing of the label will be handled by the Aptean Food & Beverage Labeling extension. Before being able to print a label, a label has to exist which contains 6505 as label subtype. This will match the subtype sent from the API to the mobile device and the label can therefore be used for printing lot information.

In case that the option ‘RDLC’ has been selected in the field Label Printing Method, the printing of the label will be handled with the RDLC report that is selected in the field Lot Tag Report ID on the Mobile Setup page.

The mobile device will not require the Lot Number information if no Lot Number is preassigned in the Item Tracking Lines, the Profile field is set with WMS on the General FastTab on the Mobile Profile Setup page, and the Page field is set with the RECEIPT, and Batch Assign Lot is set to Yes. In such a scenario,

  1. Enter or scan Item No.
  2. Enter or scan the License Plate No.
  3. Enter or confirm the Shipping Container Code.
  4. Enter the quantity to receive in the Qty. Handled field.
  5. Open the Menu icon to open the Summary tab. The scanned License Plate number can be seen with the Lot field set as Unassigned.
  6. Select the record with the scanned License Plate number.
  7. Select the Details action. The scanned License Plate number can be seen on the Details page.
  8. Select the Accept action.
  9. Open the Menu icon to open the Summary tab.

The scanned License Plate number can be seen, and the Lot field is now set with the assigned lot number.
